ABOUT

EEKOS was established in 2010 and is led by Director and Founder Michael Spartalis, a registered architect and builder with over two decades of experience in both design and building remediation. Michael personally oversees all project work, drawing on a career that spans complex commercial buildings, heritage upgrades, and boutique residential designs. He is joined by Jen Vos, an interior designer known for her grounded, elegant spaces that reflect client identity, and Anthony Hines, a design-focused architect with a strong track record in innovative residential and specialist disability accommodation projects. Together, the EEKOS team delivers thoughtful, enduring architecture grounded in place, detail, and sustainability.

Our aim for every project and at every stage is to produce projects that are enduring, adaptive, sustainable and honest.

Michael Spartalis

Director, Registered Architect & Registered Builder

Role: Project Lead, Design Strategy, Defect Analysis, Technical Oversight

Michael Spartalis brings a rare dual skill set to EEKOS and CONSPAR: a registered architect with deep design experience, and a registered builder with over 20 years of hands-on expertise in diagnosing and resolving building defects across Western Australia. He is the founder and driving force behind both practices, directing high-impact projects with a focus on longevity, precision, and community value.

Michael's early architectural career included work with leading national firms on complex commercial and multi-residential projects in Perth, the greater metro area, and the South West. Since founding EEKOS, his design portfolio has expanded to include culturally sensitive upgrades to aged care facilities, heritage hospitality refurbishments, and bespoke residential homes. His parallel experience leading CONSPAR, a firm specialising in structural and waterproofing remediation, gives him a unique ability to integrate buildability and risk mitigation into every project.

Through methodical assessment and clear documentation, Michael has earned a strong reputation with property managers, strata groups, and building owners. His commitment to accuracy, durability, and detailing is visible in every aspect of his work, whether preparing defect reports, supervising critical remediation, or overseeing high-end new builds.

Michael leads projects with a collaborative mindset, ensuring consultants and stakeholders are aligned from concept to delivery. His design approach prioritises refined aesthetics, robust construction, and budget-responsiveness. Whether managing a culturally significant site or rectifying long-standing defects, Michael’s strategic oversight and communication ensure clarity and quality at every stage.
