JENNIFER VOS
Interior Design Lead Bachelor of Arts (Interior Architecture) (Hons) — Curtin University
Role at EEKOS: Interior design lead across all EEKOS projects, from early-stage interior guidelines through to detailed documentation.
Background
Jen brings over 15 years of interior design experience to EEKOS, with a focus on spatial flow, materiality and the relationship between built form and end user. Her work is grounded in clear planning logic and a refined approach to materials, light and detail.
Interior design expertise
Jen's particular strength sits in the integration of interior design with architecture from the earliest stages of a project. Most interior design work happens late in the process, once the architecture is largely resolved — which means interior decisions are often constrained by walls, openings and services that were set without interior considerations in mind. Jen's approach is the opposite: interior strategy, materiality, wayfinding and end-user experience inform the architectural decisions, not the other way around.
This shows up in projects as better spatial flow, more considered light and acoustic performance, fewer late-stage compromises and interiors that feel coherent with the building rather than added to it.
Her expertise covers the full interior design process from early interior guidelines and strategy documents (used to align stakeholders before design begins), through concept design, materials and finishes selection, FF&E specification, and detailed interior documentation for construction. She works across residential, aged care, heritage and commercial project types, with particular depth in projects where cultural context, end-user diversity or ageing-in-place considerations shape the brief.
Approach
Interior design at EEKOS sits inside the architectural process rather than alongside it. Jen works closely with Michael and the broader consultant team from the early stages of a project, so that interior decisions — wayfinding, sensory experience, material selection — inform the architecture rather than being layered on at the end.
Her process emphasises continuous alignment with client priorities, stakeholder feedback and project aspirations through each design stage. She prioritises locally sourced materials and WA-based artisans where the project brief allows.
Design strengths
-
Narrative materiality — using materials to express layered meaning, particularly around transformation, value and site-specific identity.
-
Spatial sequencing — strong planning and wayfinding logic so spaces support both functional and emotional user journeys.
-
Cultural and heritage sensitivity — particularly evident in the Hellenic Aged Care project, where design decisions align with cultural identity, ageing in place and community service delivery.
-
Client-centred collaboration — continuous alignment with stakeholders through the design process.
-
Local makers and materials — preference for WA-sourced products and artisans.
Current EEKOS projects
-
Hellenic Community Aged Care Facility — Interior Design Guidelines, Dianella. Development of aged care interior strategy referencing heritage cues and user comfort, intended to guide future works across the entire facility.
-
Hellenic Community Aged Care — New Administration Building, Dianella. Full interior design services from concept to documentation for the new-build office and entry zones, integrating intuitive wayfinding and culturally sensitive finishes.
-
Mary Street Residence, Highgate. High-end residential interiors focused on seamless integration between built form, interior finishes and furniture layout.
Values
Jen's design approach aligns closely with EEKOS's broader values of adaptive reuse, cultural responsiveness and environmental awareness. The aim across each project is interior outcomes that deliver spatial functionality alongside meaning, identity and longevity.
