THE EEKOS THREE-STEP PROCESS
Good architectural projects start with a clear brief.

Before we begin design work, we first need to understand the property, what you are hoping to achieve, the likely opportunities and constraints, and the most suitable pathway forward.
​
Our Initial Site Meeting + Return Brief is the first paid step in the EEKOS architectural process.
​
It is designed to give you clear early advice before you commit to concept design, approvals or more detailed architectural services.​

STEP 1
INITIAL SITE MEETING + RETURN BRIEF
​​​​This is the “set the brief” stage.
​
We meet with you at the property to understand your goals, inspect the existing building and site conditions, discuss likely constraints, and identify the most appropriate next steps.
​
This first stage helps clarify whether the project is likely to require concept design, planning advice, engineering input, a Development Application, a Building Permit pathway, or other specialist advice.

What is included
​
Your Initial Site Meeting + Return Brief includes:

A meeting at the property with you.

Review of the existing building, site conditions and project opportunities.

Discussion of your goals, priorities, budget expectations, timing and key concerns.

Early identification of likely planning, building or approval issues.

Advice on whether additional information may be required, such as surveys, existing drawings, engineering advice, planning advice or other consultant input.

A written return brief summarising our understanding of the project and recommended next steps.
What you receive

After the meeting, you receive a written summary that sets out:

The key project objectives.

The main opportunities and constraints.

Any obvious risks or approval considerations.

The likely next steps.
-
The recommended pathway for moving into concept design or other required services.
This gives you a clear starting point before deciding whether to proceed further.

Fee
​
The fee for this stage is: $495 + GST
​
Travel may be added where the property is more than a 45-minute drive from our Inglewood studio.

STEP 2
CONCEPT DESIGN
After Step 1 is complete, we can provide a separate quotation for the Concept Design stage.​
This stage translates the return brief into an initial design response.
Depending on the project, this may include concept plans, design options, spatial planning, budget and staging considerations, and review of the likely approval pathway.​
You are not committed to this stage when booking Step 1.​

STEP 3
DESIGN, APPROVALS + DOCUMENTATION​​
Once the concept direction is agreed, we can provide a separate quotation for the next stage of architectural services.​
This may include design development, Development Application drawings, Building Permit documentation, consultant coordination, specifications, builder pricing, tendering or construction-stage support.​
The scope is tailored to the project rather than assuming every client needs a full architectural service from the outset.​​
