The goal set out by the Town of Claremont was to increase the amount of access to the public realm and create a greater amount of interaction between the local community and local business. 

 

Working closely with the Town of Claremont’s project team to ensure the project was completed on time and within the set out budget, Avion way was reconfigured by deleting one lane of traffic to achieve the intended vision for the site. The new reconfiguration allowed for a diverse range of functions to be introduced to the street frontage to further encourage community interaction. The adjoining businesses greatly benefited from the introduced amenities that ranged from new alfresco areas to small playgrounds.
